Brilliant Communications

Drupa 2012 The half-time Report

by Ronald van Hees | May 10, 2012 | No Comments

After months of anticipation and preparation it’s hard to believe that we have reached the halfway point of drupa 2012. The biggest print show of the calendar has already exceeded expectations in terms of the volume of visitors to our stand (Hall 4, stand 4C04) and we’re delighted to report that significant orders are being placed.

Visitors have been particularly keen to see our White Paper Factory™ Solution in action, demonstrating the productivity and efficiency benefits of creating highly personalized, dynamic communications from plain white paper and envelopes. Under our ‘Art of Success’ banner we are showing how today’s customer communications can be crafted into personalized works of art, ensuring that our customers make the most of every connection. Our range of IntelliJet printers is central to this concept, and the IntelliJet 20 is creating a lot of interest at the show – driven by intelligent PB software. Across the aisle, our partners at HP are showing their own branded version of the Intellijet 42, resulting in regular traffic between the two stands.

A key element of the drupa messaging centers on our multi-channel CCM capability. Our new digital delivery service, Volly™, is being demonstrated in the funky ‘Volly™ lounge’. This creative space is a hub of activity as visitors come to see how bills, statements, direct marketing, catalogues, coupons and other content from multiple providers can be received, viewed and managed using a single application.

Drupa happens every four years and each show provides a good opportunity to reflect on the progress of our business. Our stand clearly demonstrates our innovative and forward-thinking approach. Indeed, ours is the only stand offering a true end-to-end, multi-channel communications management portfolio.

Events of this nature take a massive effort from a huge team of people, and every person deserves credit for delivering a truly slick and dynamic stand. At the half-way point, we look to be in great shape for another highly successful event.

Note from PB blogger Candice Russell: Part one of our drupa report includes first hand observations from Ronald van Hees, Director of Marketing, Pitney Bowes DMT Europe. Next week look for our report on our software solutions at drupa.
