Kathleen Ryan Mufson leads the operations for Pitney Bowes’ global philanthropy programs including the Pitney Bowes Foundation. The company’s philanthropy is focused on education with an emphasis on Pre-K through 12th grade public school education. Through partnerships with local, regional, national and global non-profit organizations, Kathleen and her team focus on programs that address the academic achievement gap and support workforce readiness. These programs include in-school and after-school programs, summer learning, school system investments, mentoring and job training initiatives. Kathleen leads the development of the company’s global volunteer program and instituted a multi-layered approach to include skills-based, hands-on and team-building volunteer opportunities. She also leads reporting and communications for the company’s overall corporate responsibility practices. She has steered many corporate and business unit marketing, brand and communications efforts, including creative shared services, advertising and public relations. Active in the community, Kathleen tutors young readers, ESL students and volunteers with the CT Special Olympics.
